Kent State wide receiver Tyshon Goode will be sidelined for an undetermined amount of time after suffering an injury to his left hamstring during team practice Saturday.
The senior strained his hamstring while stretching to make a catch near the end zone on day two of the Flashes’ preseason training camp. Goode collapsed face-down on the field, holding the back of his left leg.
Practice stopped momentarily as Goode was helped to the sideline, where he was later carted off the field and taken to the locker room.
According to team officials, Goode’s status is day-to-day.
Goode emerged as one of Kent State’s top receivers last season, collecting 24 catches for 316 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. He will have about three weeks to recover from his injury before the season opener Aug. 30 at home against Towson.
