KSU English professor dies in car accident

Kimberly Todd-White, a professor in Kent State’s English department, died in a car accident on July 18.

Todd-White taught in the Department of English, Department of Pan-African Studies and the Honors College during the past 20 years. Todd-White received Favorite Teacher Recognition several times in addition to being named Honors Faculty of the Year by the Honors College this year.

Todd-White graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1976 where she was eighth in her class and president of National Honor Society. She graduated in 1988 from Kent State with a bachelor’s in English and in 1990 with a master’s in English.

Todd-White was buried July 26 at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
