Mokler named to academic All-MAC team

Lauren Mokler

For her outstanding performance in the classroom, Kent State softball player Lauren Mokler earned a spot on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Softball Team. Conference faculty representatives announced the decision Monday.

This marks the first time Mokler has received Academic All-MAC honors.

On the field this past season, Mokler batted .246 with one home run, 13 RBIs and six doubles. Mokler helped the Flashes reach the final six in the MAC

Tournament for the seventh consecutive season.

Ten other softball players were awarded honorable mentions, including fellow graduates Jessica Blanton and Mary Holt. The team, which consists of 22 members, combined to hold an cumulative grade point average of 3.645 for the spring semester.
