New York based fashion designer to visit Kent this weekend

New York-based fashion designer Yeohlee Teng will come to Kent State today and Akron tomorrow. Teng is scheduled to speak on fashion to students and the public at 1 p.m. in the Rockwell Hall auditorium. Admission is free. Later today, there will be a gala in the Rockwell Hall Atrium featuring her Spring 2009 collection. Individual tickets cost $100 per person and the show will begin at 6 p.m. For ticket information, contact Carol Gaj at 330-672-3452. According to the Kent State Fashion Museum Web site, Yeohlee is known as one of the most ingenious makers of clothing today. Her designs have earned a permanent place in The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Saturday, Teng will be in Akron at D'Ora boutique from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The boutique is located at 131 Ghent Road.
