Created on Wednesday, 06 March 2013 03:03 Written by Kelsey Leyva Hits: 333Kent State Students for Justice in Palestine will continue its series of events for Israeli Apartheid Week with Apartheid Wall Demo event Wednesday.
The event is an all-day affair on the “K” in Risman Plaza outside the Kent State Student Center.
There will be a screening of the documentary “5 Broken Cameras” at 6 p.m., Thursday in Room 317 of the Student Center. The documentary is a personal, first-hand account of life and non-violent resistance in Bil’in, a West Bank village surrounded by Israeli settlements, according to Kino Lorber’s website.
IAW is an annual international week of events recognized in cities and campuses across the world. According to the Israel Apartheid Week website, the events are to educate people about Israel's apartheid policies toward the Palestinians and to build support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions against Israel campaign.
