College Fest may have been nearly one week ago, but some people arrested Saturday are still facing the consequences of their actions.
However, not all of the arrests came on the street where the annual party is held.
Police records show only eight people were arrested on College Ave. Six of these people face charges for a failure to disperse between 6:45 and 9:20 p.m.
That's as police attempted to clear out parties growing unruly.
Fights and assaults also broke out during the event.
Crowds totaled nearly 3,000 people Saturday.
During the 2009 College Fest celebration, 65 people were arrested.
Police estimate anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 attended that year when the riot broke out. The crowd was roughly the same size as Saturday's.
Nearly twice as many people were arrested, too.
The incidents back in 2009 cost the city $26,000 for additional police and fire staffing and overtime.
More people may also be charged in the coming days.
Kent State University published a message on its website Tuesday, asking students to turn in people they recognize in photos and video.
Both show people throwing bottles at others, including the police, creating a dangerous situation.
One student has since provided information to Kent Police.
We could not reach the police chief for comment on the arrests today.
