Kent State to play in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

The Kent State football team will play in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Wyoming on Tuesday, Dec. 21 in Boise, Idaho per Brett McMurphy of Action Network HQ.

It will be the Flashes’ fifth bowl game in program history. 

Wyoming is 6-6 overall, with two of its wins coming against Mid-American Conference opponents Northern Illinois (50-43) and (45-12). 

The Cowboys went 2-6 in the Mountain West Conference. 

Kent State is 1-3 in bowl games, with its first win coming in the 2019 Tropical Smoothie Café Frisco Bowl in coach Sean Lewis’ second season at KSU. 

The Flashes lost the Mid-American Championship Game on Saturday to Northern Illinois 41-23. 

KSU finished the season 7-6 overall and 6-3 in conference play.
