BREAKING: Man killed by train near river in downtown Kent

First responders remove the remains of an unidentified person struck by a train late Wednesday evening in downtown Kent.

Kent police and fire departments are investigating the death of a white male near the railroad tracks next to the Cuyahoga River in downtown Kent.

Officials found the body under a train near Treno. The man appeared to have dark hair and a beard — his identity is unknown.

It is also unknown what time Wednesday the incident occurred and how it happened.

KentWired spoke with fire officials and was told no information was available at the time. The Kent City Police Department dispatch would not release any information either.
