8th annual Black Squirrel race to take place

Kent State is holding its 8th annual Black Squirrel 5K Race Saturday, April 13 at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

The race will start at the Rec, go around the campus through the Esplanade, the Portage Bike and Hike Trail and end back at the Rec.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. with check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m.

An award ceremony will take place in the Rec after the race. Medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place male and female runners in each age group.

Cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be awarded to the overall first, second and third place male and female runners.
