Kent State Independent Films will host their 2nd annual casting call and mixer on Friday, March 1.

The event will be held in Franklin Hall room 213 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. During the event, students can audition for upcoming short films and network with fellow students. Free professional headshots will also be available.

Jakob Bell, KSUIF’s Marketing Director, described the event as “a black squirrel fest of creativity as well as an all-encompassing creative networking event to meet new people.”

“We want graphic designers, videographers, photographers, actor’s writers, musicians and anyone in the creative space to attend to network and talk with each other to work on projects in the future and for our existing productions to cast as well,” Bell said.

The casting call and mixer is open to all Kent State students. Other student media organizations will be present at the event as well.
