The University Health Services Office of Health Promotion is hosting free testing for HIV and Hepatitis C Wednesday at the Deweese Health Center.

The Office of Health Promotion is working with Community AIDS Network / Akron Pride Initiative (CANAPI), who will be administering the confidential test.

The testing is a free service provided by the Health Center, said Scott Dotterer, the coordinator for Student Health Promotion.

The appointment will take 30 to 45 minutes and will include blood work, with results being given at the end of the testing.

Dotterer urges students and faculty to make appointments for the testing. Appointments are available from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m by calling the Deweese Health Center.

CANAPI will be back to do more testing on Feb. 27, March 19, April 8 and May 1.
