Bowman Cup — The 18th annual 5K race will begin at 8 a.m. and begins in front of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Free parking.

Homecoming Parade — The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on the corner of Midway Drive and East Main Street.

Welcome Home Party — After the parade, this event at the Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement will provide food, activities and giveaways. The event is free, and all ages are welcome.

Kiss on the K — Couples, from their days back at Kent State and those currently attending, are encouraged to attend and celebrate their love. At noon, the Kent Clarks will perform. At 12:30 p.m., the bell will ring and signal for lovers to kiss on Risman Plaza.

Tailgate and football game — The tailgate party before Kent State takes on Ohio University will feature food and festivities at Dix Stadium. Parking for all Summit Road lots east of Route 261 will charge $5. Vehicles with valid permits at Kent State can park for free. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
