This weekend, the 23rd annual Kent Heritage Festival will be held in downtown.

During the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., there will be local live music and entertainment, a children’s play area with a bounce house and a rock climbing wall that kids of all ages can enjoy.

A classic car show will be located on West Erie and North Franklin Street, sponsored by Brimfield Insurance. Those interested in participating in the car show are encouraged to show up early to get a good parking spot.

At 10 p.m. there will be a fireworks display set off from Kramer Ball Fields.

The Kent Heritage Festival is organized by the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce, and a committee of volunteers. The event draws nearly 25,000 people to downtown Kent.
