Kent State wrestler Casey Sparkman will join fellow Flash Anthony Tutolo at the national championship after receiving an at-large bid.

Sparkman came up one spot short of an automatic bid at the MAC tournament last weekend. Sparkman won his consolation semifinals match against Eastern Michigan University’s Zachary Carson 9-7 and finished third.

Sparkman is 25-12 overall, 8-6 in dual meets and 4-3 in the Mid-American Conference.

Tutolo punched his ticket to the national tournament after placing sixth at the MAC tournament. Tutolo is 19-8 overall, 5-2 in dual meets and 1-2 in the MAC.

The national championships will be held at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, March 16-18.
