Center for Nutrition Outreach

Kent State’s Center for Nutritional Outreach is located in Nixon Hall and open to all students.

According to its website, the Center for Nutritional Outreach provides free services and education on weight control, digestive disorders, eating disorders, health conditions, vegetarian, food allergies and any other topic questions you may have related to nutrition.

“Always ask a professional about nutrition,” Falcone said. “There is some crazy and untrue stuff online.”

Falcone said the center is a great place for students to talk about nutritional health concerns. Don’t focus on fad diets, she said. Instead, she recommends focusing on the science of nutrition.

“We want people to be aware of what they’re eating,” Falcone said. “Listen to how you feel when you eat and listen to your hunger.”
