First Place – EuroGyro

A Kent classic, EuroGyro has taken the No. 1 spot again. With its greasy food and quick service, it is the go-to bar to end a night out. Melissa Phillips, a senior psychology major, loves ending her nights there.

“I love to eat jalapeño poppers after the bar,” Phillips said. “The service is always so fast and the people are so nice.”

The downtown Kent essential has a prime location, just on the edge of downtown and is open later than all the other bars, closing at 3 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, 3:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday. It makes deliveries until close as well.

Second Place – Guy’s Pizza

Coming in at No. 2, Guy’s Pizza offers the perfect setup for those drunk, downtown nights. With a walk-up counter and by the slice option, this pizza shop can’t be beat.

Sloan Salustro, a Guy’s employee, enjoys seeing all the people, but not the messes they make.

“It’s definitely a lot of work, but still fun to see all the people,” said Salustro.

Guy’s Pizza aims to fill that late-night pizza craving. It’s open until midnight Sunday through Wednesday and until 1:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Third Place – Sheetz

Who would have thought a gas station could double as a place to cure the late night munchies? Coming in at No. 3, Sheetz offers a variety of fried options, salads and sandwiches. It has a touch-screen ordering system where you can order as little or as much as your stomach desires.

Nicole Devine, a senior public health major, always stops on her way home.

“I always need cheese sticks and chicken fingers,” Devine said. “Sheetz is like the grown up Rosies.”

Make sure you order an Uber to get you there since the nearest Sheetz is on East Main street and is open 24-hours.
