First Place – Campus Pointe 

Located on Ashton Lane near Acme, Campus Pointe is the complex furthest away from Kent State’s campus to be nominated for best apartment complex.

According to General Manager Bill Smith, their service more than makes up for it.

“We go way over and beyond for our residents. If it’s digging someone out of the snow at 5 in the morning, to training, such as how to do a resume,” he said. “Anything we can do for people with finals coming up.”

Second Place – The Province

The Province’s location on Summit Street is one of its greatest assets, according to Community Manager Patty McNerney.

“There’s a lot of things that we offer to them included in their rent that a lot of other places don’t,” McNerney said. “The proximity to campus is (the) biggest (reason) people really enjoy our location, not only to campus but to downtown. It’s just fantastic where we’re located.” 

The Province’s amenities include a movie theater, saltwater pool and tanning and workout areas. 

 Third Place – University Edge

The front office for University Edge could not be reached for a comment.

“My favorite part of living there was how spaced out and big the apartment was. The inside was super nice,” said Patrick McLaughlin, a 2015 resident of University Edge. “It never felt cramped, no matter how many people were there.”
