The Kent Police Department is hosting its annual pancake breakfast this Sunday at the Applebee’s in Stow from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“The money raised from the Pancake Breakfast will be combined with the toys, food and money we collect at ‘Fill-A-Cruiser’ next Saturday at Walgreens (in Kent),” said Kent Police Lieutenant Mike Lewis.

This is the police department’s third year hosting the event.

“We made approximately $1,400 last year,” Lewis said.

The police department will be at Walgreens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday to continue in helping local kids for the holidays.

“We welcome everyone willing to help this cause to visit us at Walgreens (on) Saturday to fill the police cruiser with toys and food,” Lewis said. “Monetary donations are accepted as well and the money is immediately used to purchase more gifts for kids in the Kent area.”

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for children and can be purchased by contacting Lt.  Bob Treharn at 330-676-7527 or [email protected]. Tickets can also be purchased at the Kent Police Department Detective Bureau at 319 S. Water St. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout this week.
