The Honors College will introduce its new series, Research Uncorked, on Thursday, March 5, at 5:30 p.m. at the Secret Cellar in downtown Kent. The series will focus on Kent State researchers coming together with the Kent community to share their findings.

Suzy D’Enbeau, an assistant professor in the School of Communication Studies, will be the first to present her research for the series. D’Enbeau has conducted research about young professional women in the Middle East, North Africa and India.

“I have conducted interviews with them about what it means to be an ideal woman and how they hope to balance work and family in their future careers,” D’Enbeau said.

She also said the series is open to Kent State students and faculty but wants to focus on building a relationship with the surrounding Kent community.

The series is still choosing speakers for this semester, and the Honors College plans to host one each month, D’Enbeau said.

The Secret Cellar is located at 176 E. Main Street in downtown Kent.
