Communication, advertising, public relations and marketing students can meet professionals in their field at this year’s Communications Connection on Wednesday, Nov. 5 in the Franklin Hall lobby from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The Franklin Advertising Association and the Kent Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America will host the event.

At least 16 local professionals from the public relations and advertising field, with some being Kent State alumni, will attend the event, said Erin England, the intercampus liaison for PRSSA Kent.

Students will have the opportunity to approach eight tables, each with two professionals and an assigned discussion topic.

“Students should come to Communications Connection because it’s a good opportunity to network, and it’s an experience that you won’t get in the classroom,” England said. “Some students have gone on to intern with the professionals that they met at Communications Connection.”

The event is open to all students, but those who wish to attend must register online at www.communicationsconnection.eventbrite.com.
