Students will have an opportunity to listen to poetry recited in a variety of languages and try different international coffees at the International Poetry and Coffee House event.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 20 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in room 200 of White Hall and is sponsored by the Office of Global Education as part of Kent State’s International Education Week.

Students will have time to hear poetry in different languages, coffee from around the world, jazz music, and a variety of games, said Dr. Linda Robertson, director of the Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education.

“Student from five different countries will recite poetry in their own languages,” said Robertson. “The jazz music will create a coffee house atmosphere.”

This event is free and no RSVP is required.
