Phi Alpha Theta, the honor history society, invites the whole campus to attend a movie speaker series Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in room 133 in Bowman Hall titled “A Movie for your Thoughts.”

The event will begin with Kenneth Bindas, the chair of the history department, giving a short speech describing the historical background of the movie. The movie “That Thing You Do!” will be shown at the event. The film was produced in the 1990s and directed by Tom Hanks.

“It’s a fun way to learn more,” said Philip Shackelford, president of Phi Alpha Theta. “If you don’t know about that certain event or topic, Dr. Bindas will give an introduction of those things.”
