CBS Sports released its most updated college football rankings Monday, and Kent State fans are not going to like how the Flashes stack up against the Division I competition.

The Flashes, currently labeled as one of the worst Division I college football teams in the nation, are ranked 126th out of the 128 Division I teams that CBSSports.com ranks.

Seven weeks into the college football season, Kent State (0-6) is one of only three college football teams ranked in the 128 still seeking their first win. The other two winless teams that made the ranking cut, which fall behind Kent State in the 127 and 128 slots, respectively, are the Idaho Vandals (0-6) and the Southern Methodist Mustangs (0-5).

Last Saturday, Kent State lost to the University of Massachusetts Minutemen (1-6), the only other MAC team that, at the time, was searching for its first win of the 2014 season.

The Minutemen toppled Kent State, 40-17, and moved up four spots to take the No. 124 position in the CBS Sports ranking, while the Flashes fell eight spots in the rankings to No. 126.

The football team will return to action this Saturday to take on Army in the Flashes’ homecoming game at Dix Stadium. The game will kickoff at 3:30 p.m.
