Jarrod Tudor was named interim dean and chief administrative officer of Kent State at Geauga and the Kent State Regional Academic Center Monday, April 7, by Todd Diacon, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost for Kent State.

Tudor will succeed current Dean David Mohan, who is retiring from his position June 30.

“I was very honored,” Tudor said about Diacon choosing him to be interim dean.  “This is one of the best jobs in higher education, and I was very honored to have it.”

Tudor has been a member of the faculty at Kent State for 18 years teaching law courses in the Departments of Paralegal Studies, Higher Education Administration, Finance, Political Science, Justice Studies, History and Journalism. He is currently serving as the 2013-2014 Provost’s Fellow and remains the director of Paralegal Studies.

Tudor will start his position as interim dean July 1. Among his responsibilities as a one-year dean, he will need to manage both campuses, continue to see that they grow and make sure that he keeps up with both an internal and external presence at Geauga’s regional campus.

“Most importantly, I want to continue the good work that David Mohan has done at Geauga,” Tudor said. “Geauga has a terrific presence in Geauga County and as well as Northern Summit County with the Twinsburg Regional Academic Center. “

Tudor said he is honored and excited to start this new position for next school year.
