Doherty to speak at 2014 Borowitz Lecture Thursday

Thomas Doherty, a professor of American studies at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, will be presenting on the media coverage of the 1932 Lindbergh baby kidnapping case and its legacy in American culture for the 25th anniversary Borowitz Lecture.
His lecture is titled “Little Lindy Is Kidnapped: The Media Coverage of the Crime of the 20th Century.” The event will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Read Special Collections Classroom, room 1018, on the 10th floor of the University Library.
The Borowitz Lecture is held annually in honor of the university’s Borowitz Crime Collection, which is located in the University Libraries’ Department of Special Collections and Archives.
