Kent State police search for suspect of reported sex offense near Terrace Drive

Campus police are searching for a man who allegedly committed a “sex offense” between 2 and 3 a.m. Sunday near Terrace Drive, according to a Flash ALERT advisory.

The advisory described the suspect as a college-aged male who is about six feet tall with an average build and dark brown hair. He wore “darker colored” sweatpants and a surgical mask at the time of the incident.

Those with information about the suspect are encouraged to call Kent State Police at 330-672-3070. 

The advisory highlighted on-campus safety resources, such as the blue light emergency phones and campus escort service, which can be reached at 330-672-7004. The escort service is open 24/7 during the fall and spring semesters according to the safety and security website.
