Holiday stamps for purchase next week

The Kent State Post Office will have holiday stamps for sale starting Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Each year the United States Postal Services “designs a different stamp,” said Cody Burke, Department Manager for Kent Student Center Programming.

Last year the stamps featured Christmas ornaments and this year, said Post Office Manager Kelsey Kloss, she thinks they will have pictures of gingerbread houses and wreaths on them, but Post Office employees won’t know for sure until the stamps arrive.

Domestic First Class holiday stamps will be sold in books of 20 for 46 cents, and International First Class holiday stamps will be sold individually for $1.10, Kloss said.

Burke said the Post Office usually sees more students buying stamps at this time because the holiday stamps offer a bit of variety in design.

For those interested in buying the stamps, the Post Office is located in the Lower Level of the Kent Student Center and is open Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
