Samuel Little, a suspect in the 1980s serial strangling murders, was found living in Kentucky last fall. The murders resulted in the sexual assault and death of at least three women, but there may be more as police investigate the reopened cold case. Police said DNA evidence collected at old crime scenes in Los Angeles matched samples stored in a criminal database. The demonic horror-remake film “Evil Dead” debuted at No. 1 with $26 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. “Evil Dead” was first released in 1983. The new film is said to be gore-filled and frightening. It follows a storyline of a group of friends terrorized and possessed by demons during a trip to a cabin in the woods.
