The new College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology is part of the Foundations of Excellence – a $170 million campus building program. Kent State announced a new parking lot will be built and will serve the new college.

The current 220 space parking lot for the science corridor will be replaced with a new 200 space parking lot. The new lot will sit north of the Liquid Crystal Institute.

University Spokesman Eric Mansfield spoke about the university’s plans for the lot. The new parking lot is expected to cost the university around $1.5 million. Currently, there is no timeline set for the project.
