Human trafficking is not only a problem across the world, but in Ohio specifically. Ohio is currently the third largest state for human trafficking.
Kent State students gathered in Risman Plaza on campus Tuesday to speak out about sex trafficking.
The organization “Student Justice Mission” is getting attention because for 27 hours, the group protested to raise awareness of the issue. The group wants to get signatures so they can send their petitions to President Obama in the hopes of receiving national attention.
