Main Street Kent will hold the Second Annual Chocolate Walk this Saturday, Feb. 9 from 1 to 5 p.m., just in time for Valentine’s Day.

This event encourages people to visit the stores, old and new, in downtown Kent. People participating in the event will get a new chocolate surprise from each store participating in the walk.

“Last year was a big hit,” said Heather Malarcik, executive director at Main Street Kent. “We already have 150 tickets sold to date. There is so much great old and new stuff to be seen.”

On the day of the event, attendees will gather at Earl’s Nest located in Acorn Alley and will pick up their Chocolate Walk passes and bags for their treats. Then, at the attendee’s leisure, he or she can go into any of the participating businesses and gather their surprises.

Tickets are $15 and all proceeds will benefit Main Street Kent. They must be purchased before the event and can be bought online at www.mainstreetkent.org or at McKay Bricker Framing & Gallery.
