Candidates for Kent State Undergraduate Government will hold a public forum at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Nest on the second floor of the Student Center.

The event is free and open to any student interested in hearing speeches from students running for director and senator position. At the forum, the floor will be open to questions by anyone towards the candidates.

“We’re going to have the directors speak first individually and then the senators,” Elections Commissioner Hanna Wiese said. “They’re going to state their platforms, [and] then they are going to have someone there asking questions. If students don’t come with questions prepared, and if they don’t get answered with the pre-asked questions, then they can feel free to ask their questions, and the candidate will answer them to the best of their ability.”

The forum will run until 8 p.m. and will be catered by Boar’s Head for all students interested.
