Kent State has named Rebecca Murphy as associate vice president for University Communications and Marketing, according to a university press release.

Murphy comes to Kent State from Case Western Reserve University, where she was assistant dean of Marketing, Recruitment and Student Services at Weatherhead School of Management.

Murphy received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Akron. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association.
