Along with celebrating its 75th anniversary in July, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication will welcome Thor Wasbotten as its new director.

After 10 years as the school’s director, Jeff Fruit stepped down in order to teach full time.

Wasbotten will be leaving his current position as the assistant dean for student media and online operations at The Pennsylvania State University to officially begin his position at Kent State July 1.
