The Chemistry/Physics Library has closed permanently due to summer renovations of Williams Hall.

The last day for public access to the library was June 1, and the space will be vacated on June 29, said Kenneth Burhanna, University Libraries Instructional Services head.

A transition plan is in place to maintain access and services to the collections that were in the library.

Approximately 7,000 of the most current and actively used books will relocate to the seventh floor of University Library. Print journals will move to the fifth and sixth floors, and the remaining journal subscriptions will be available online in January 2013. Other books in the collection will be placed in storage and available through online request.

All materials will be unavailable until the relocation is complete.
