Students studying abroad in Florence, Italy, in Spring 2013 will be able to attend classes in a new building located in the historic Piazza Santa Croce after renovations are complete.

Florence Program director Marcello Fantoni said the new building was leased in order to meet European occupancy regulations and to allow further growth of the program. It has four large classrooms, an office and a balcony facing the front of the Basilica of Santa Croce.

Fantoni said the university got the building “at an incredibly good price” for a lease at a minimum of six years.
