No new information has surfaced regarding the investigation of the robbery in Risman Plaza Tuesday, which is being conducted by the Kent State Police Department’s Investigations Unit.

The robbery took place outside the library in Risman Plaza at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday. A Kent State student reported being robbed near the library. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’ tall, weighing 170 pounds with a thin mustache. He was wearing a gray Kent State hoodie, blue jeans and dirty white tennis shoes.

Officer Michquel Penn, community resource officer at the Kent State Police Department, said it is “under investigation” if anything was stolen, and there was no weapon seen.

“I am not able to disclose the exact details of what occurred while the incident is being investigated,” Penn said.

Penn said it is too soon for her to speculate whether the police will find the robber or not.

“We will keep the community updated with any pertinent information,” she said.

Penn said if anyone has information regarding the case they can contact the Police Department at 330-672-2212.
