CNN — A New York judge found Donald Trump and his adult sons liable for fraud and canceled the Trump Organization’s business certification, a shocking ruling that poses an existential threat to the former president’s financial empire as he runs for a second term in the White House.

Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling on Monday is a complete rejection of Trump’s arguments that he didn’t inflate the values of his golf courses, hotels, homes at Mar-a-Lago and Seven Springs on financial statements.

“In defendants’ world: rent-regulated apartments are worth the same as unregulated apartments; restricted land is worth the same as unrestricted land; restrictions can evaporate into thin air; a disclaimer by one party casting responsibility on another party exonerates the other party’s lies,” the judge wrote.

While calling women ‘sluts’ and reading from a Bible plastered with the words “HO NO MO,” Cindy Smock, a campus preacher known as Sister Cindy on TikTok, drew large crowds to Risman Plaza Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

Smock has gained over 426.3k followers on TikTok and thousands of followers on her other platforms for using vulgar and derogatory language to preach against feminism and premarital sex “in the name of God.” She gained attention for her mantra “HO NO MO,” a phrase she yells during sermons and prints on merchandise.

The trip to Kent State was part of Smock’s ‘HO NO MO’ national college-campus tour.

A new StoryWalk in Kent brings the library to the community

The library is now reaching more people in the community.

Kent families now have an interactive story at Al Lease Park along a .7-mile trial.

Both the Kent Free Library and the Parks and Recreation Department collaborated on the community project. TV2’s Sydney Brown has the full story about their plans for the StoryWalk.

Ohio State completed the home and home sweep of Notre Dame on Saturday night thanks to late-game magic.

All eyes were on the Buckeyes and Irish in a top-ten matchup, and the game lived up to the hype.

After a slow offensive first half for both sides, Ohio State cashed in a field goal for a 3-0 halftime lead. A fourth down stand for the Buckeyes on the first drive of the second half, followed by a 61-yard touchdown run by running back TreVeyon Henderson, had Buckeye fans feeling good up 10-0.

A group of students met at Risman Plaza Tuesday evening to begin a 1.7 mile walk around campus to raise awareness for those who have either attempted suicide or lost their lives to suicide.

The event was put on by Active Minds at KSU, a nonprofit organization centered around mental health and suicide prevention. Active Minds is a national club, with a chapter at the university.

Hunter Frey-Burkart, a senior neuroscience major and president of Active Minds at KSU, said the length of the walk was not just randomly selected.

The Kent State’s soccer team battled back from a

The Kent State’s soccer team battled back from a 1-0 deficit in the second half of Sunday’s match to earn a 2-1 victory over crosstown rival Akron.

“The team showed a lot of character in coming back,” coach Rob Marinaro said. “To pull it off the way they did was super exciting.”

Kent State improved to 5-2-2 and is in first place in the Mid-American Conference at 2-0. UA falls to 2-7 overall and sits last in the conference at 0-2.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and Communications Director Ben LaBolt held a campus press briefing Monday afternoon to discuss topics relevant to college students like college affordability, mental health and climate change. Only student media from respective colleges across the country were in attendance.

“Starting with college affordability, President Biden understands the importance of a higher education,” LaBolt said. “It’s got the power to unlock doors of opportunity.”

LaBolt initially focused on the $117 billion in federal student loan forgiveness that the Biden administration already canceled. The debt forgiveness focuses on not only recent college graduates but people who have worked in public service after graduation in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
