An opportunity has opened up for a student to get involved in local politics.

Kent City Council now has a vacant seat and is looking to fill the position.

Members of the Undergraduate Student Government are pulling for a student to get the job.

Councilman Robin Turner’s advice for young applicants is to walk into the interview not as a student, but as a representative of the city of Kent.

City Council will begin taking applications in February.
