Kent Police are in search of an armed robbery suspect after an aggravated robbery incident at Twilight Boutique on South Water Street in Kent Friday.

Police said a thin, white male in his mid-twenties entered the University Plaza business at 7:22 a.m. armed with a black handgun. The suspect sustained a head injury at the hands of an employee and left the area on foot.

The suspect is approximately 5’10” and was reportedly wearing a red and white polo shirt, blue jeans, red gloves and a dark colored mask.

The smoke shop, which has already had six break-ins and robberies according to police records, recently changed to a 24-hour business in an attempt to fend off robberies.

Twilight Boutique employees declined to comment on the incident.
