Opinion: Sex is unavoidable

Opinion: ‘X Factor’ is less than or equal to ‘American Idol’ (or one of those other singing shows)

But let’s be honest here, sex is all around us, and it’s pretty much unavoidable. “The Playboy Club” aired at 10 p.m. on Mondays; I don’t know about anyone else, but before I hit my teens I had to be in bed by 9 p.m. So, PTC, if your kids are awake after 9:30 p.m., not only would they get a peek from this show, but if you have HBO, they’d learn all about soft porn and the definition of a 69. At this point, “The Playboy Club” will be the least of your worries because you’ll soon find out that your 12-year-old son is excellent at teabagging.

Come on people. This is real life. I can understand parents not wanting their children to learn about sex from an unreliable source, but if you’re avoiding the topic as if it’s some kind of plague or awful thing that real people don’t indulge in, why not learn it from one of the best sources ever: television.
