10 shows to keep your eye on this fall

New Girl

“New Girl” is a comedy starring the quirky Zooey Deschanel as Jess, an eccentric young woman who moves in with three single men after her nasty breakup. It premieres Tuesday Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. on Fox, but the pilot is currently available to watch in its entirety online.

Ringer

Sarah Michelle Gellar makes her TV comeback in The CW’s “Ringer.” Gellar plays estranged twins with lucrative pasts in the new drama. The show will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m., but you can catch the premiere Friday Sept. 16 at 8 p.m.

Pan Am

Set in 1963, “Pan Am” centers on the alluring lives of a group of airline stewardesses. The show features actresses Christina Ricci and Kelli Garner and premieres on Sunday Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. on ABC.

Up All Night

Christina Applegate and Will Arnett star in NBC’s new comedy “Up All Night” as flustered new parents. Applegate plays a successful socialite and Arnett is her stay-at-home husband turned dad. The show premieres Wednesday Sept. 14 at 8 p.m.

2 Broke Girls

“2 Broke Girls” follows the story of two waitresses with big dreams and empty wallets. Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs star in this comedy drama that premieres Monday Sept. 19 at 9:30 p.m. on CBS.

Grimm

NBC’s “Grimm” is about a homicide detective who discovers he is part of a group of people responsible for protecting humans from malicious mythological creatures. A play on Grimm’s fairytales, this supernatural drama stars David Giuntoli and premieres Friday Oct. 21 at 9 p.m.

Terra Nova

Science fiction drama “Terra Nova” takes place in the year 2149 on an overpopulated Earth. Several people must travel back to prehistoric times in an effort to save humankind. The show stars Jason O’ Mara, Stephen Lang and Christine Adams and premieres on Monday Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. on Fox.

The Secret Circle

Based on a novel series written by the author of “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Secret Circle” is a supernatural drama about a teenager who discovers her supernatural powers and pedigree upon a move to a new town. Starring Brittany Robinson, it premieres on Thursday Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. on the CW.

Homeland

Starring Clare Danes, Morena Baccarin and Damian Lewis, “Homeland” is about an Iraq veteran who returns home after being missing for a decade and the CIA agent who doesn’t believe his story. The suspense thriller’s first episode airs on Showtime, Sunday Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. but the pilot is available to watch online now.
