After getting thrashed around by No. 2 Alabama last Saturday, the Flashes were back at practice today. The team remains optimistic even after losing by 41 points.

First-year coach Darrell Hazell said that his team played hard the entire game, and that is one of the positives the team is taking away from the game. Also, sophomore defensive lineman Roosevelt Nix said they now realize what they need to work on to get better. Junior quarterback Spencer Keith also said that the team learned a lot in their season opener, especially the importance of execution on offense.

The Flashes will play their first home game of the season against Louisiana-Lafayette this Saturday. The game will be broadcast on TV2-KSU at 7 p.m.
