Cuyahoga Community College has teamed up with Harras’ Horseshoe Casino Cleveland to help people prepare for a job.

According to Harras’ Horseshoe Casino Cleveland website, the new casino will offer 1,600 new jobs.

Jody Wheaton, Director of Organizational Effectiveness at Cuyahoga Community College’s Business College said she wants to debunk any rumors that the casino plans to hire help from out of state for this application round.

“This is an organization about creating jobs in the northeast Ohio area and employing people from the northeast Ohio area,” said Wheaton.

The Tri-C workshops will give residents a chance to sharpen their resumes and build on their interview skills by offering free workshops to the public.

The free workshops are two hours long and will focus on “a resume that will WILL get results” and “Acing the interview.”

On Tuesday of this week casino reps confirmed they had already received nearly 5,000 applications during the first week of online submissions.

Course registration for the workshops takes place online, and you must reserve a spot.

For more information on the program, applicants can head to Tri-C.edu.
