Kent State University alumnus Blitz The Ambassador will be performing at The Kent Stage Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The Ghanaian rapper, who proudly represents his culture in some of his songs like “Accra City Blues” and “Dear Africa” is excited about coming back to the city where he first started.

“It’s amazing,” Blitz said. “It’s nothing like performing at your alma mater.”

Blitz produced two CD’s while attending Kent State. He said this accomplishment is what makes Kent State so special to him.

“It’s a very significant thing to me in that aspect,” Blitz said.

Blitz The Ambassador will be in Kent for one night only as a part of his current tour. Blitz said that his accomplishments were all made possible because he had the confidence in himself to achieve them.

“It’s all about believing in yourself before anyone else believes in you,” he said.

According to The Kent Stage’s website, tickets are $5.50.
