Kent State now gives the university community the option to show its Kent State pride through new desktop wallpapers.

The university introduced its new Kent State-themed computer wallpapers to the public last month, featuring various photos of the campus and KSU graphic designs.

Austin Raymond, sophomore visual journalism major, said he’s not in favor of the new wallpapers.

“I don’t care to see Kent State stuff on my computer when I’m surrounded by it all day,” Raymond said. “I think this school has enough spirit.”

Photos include Rizman Plaza’s former fountain, which was removed last spring, the infamous Kent black squirrel and various Kent State sports teams.

Jared Taylor, junior psychology major, said he will not be using the new wallpapers.

“Personally, I believe the desktop backgrounds should be the San Diego Zoo panda-cam,” Taylor said. “Because those pandas are cute.”

The 14 wallpapers are accessible on the Kent State Alumni website.
