Stay organized

Here’s the good news: We are half way to summer. The bad news? We’re in the midst of midterms, and everyone’s life is slowly falling apart.

Follow these steps to stay organized and in control during these stressful weeks:

  • Compartmentalize

Keep your materials for each class separate. This way you avoid mixing up your notes and homework and you can easily find what you’re looking for.

  • Label, Label, Label

You can label with colors or label with words, but either way, this is a great way to make sure you know where everything is at all times. It may seem tedious, but you’ll appreciate it when you’re searching for that worksheet or those notes.

  • Be decisive

The quicker you can decide HOW to organize, the sooner you can rid your desk and room of clutter.

  • Get a planner

Planners can help you avoid forgetting quiz and test dates, homework and other assignments. Write them down right away to avoid forgetting it later. It’s the procrastinator’s worst enemy.

  • Set a timer

When you sit down to study, set a timer, and get to work. When the timer goes off, take a break. Go for a walk, listen to some music or watch your favorite 30-minute show. This can keep your mind feeling fresh and ready to get back to work.
