Best food in Northeast Ohio

Ray’s Place in Kent is being recognized for its Mofo Burger. In light of this news, I decided to put together a list of the best food in Northeast Ohio. (besides the Mofo Burger, that is)

I love any restaurant that happens to cater to a vegetarian’s needs, so when I found out I could order the mini cheeseburgers sans the guilt from this chain restaurant in North Canton, I was ecstatic. Unfortunately, the Canton location closed its doors for some unknown reason. The closest Cheeseburger in Paradise is in Hilliard, Ohio, just outside of Columbus.

I have not personally eaten here, but my friend LOVES the Tako Salad.

My best friend and I swear by this place. It is one of Akron’s most popular restaurants; on any given night the line to get a table is out the door and around the corner. Another good thing is the hours; Luigi’s is usually open until 2:00 a.m. every night, perfect for late owls or partiers.

  • Best Italian In General: Parasson’s Italian Restaurant

I have known about Parasson’s my entire life: the first restaurant was opened in Barberton, Ohio, my hometown. Now, there are many locations of this Northeast Ohio mainstay; there’s even a location in Stow, Kent’s neighboring town. The restaurant offers many pastas, pizzas, and entrees; I personally recommend the baked ravioli with mushroom sauce.

Steak ‘n Shake is a fun restaurant. It is designed to look like a 1950s diner, complete with soda fountains. After a night of partying, (or driving around hopelessly lost, as was the case for myself one night) it’s nice to be able to go somewhere with greasy food, friendly people and good milkshakes.

What is your “best thing I ever ate”?
