Update: Bad weather may delay final exams

Students may have to stay an extra few days to finish exams if the weather turns bad early next week, according to the Provost’s office.

If bad weather forced the university to close Monday and Tuesday, students would make up their missed exams Dec. 20 and 21, said Associate Provost Stephane Booth.

“We just wanted to be prepared in case it happened,” said Booth.

Dorms would remain open, and students could make arrangements with their professors to take their exams earlier if they couldn’t stay.

Booth originally sent an e-mail, labeled high-priority, to officials around 4:30 p.m. Thursday warning them of the potential problem.

University officials were still working to prepare a Flashline message for students Friday afternoon.
