A Kent man was found dead along the Wheeling and Erie Railroad tracks near West Main Street in Kent Wednesday morning, according to the Kent police. (NO NEED FOR “THE”)

Shortly after 9 a.m., a pedestrian (WALKER…HIKER? DON’T JUST TAKE THE “SEMANTICS” OF THE POLICE) discovered the body of Scott D. Vaughn, of Kent, by the tracks just north of the 800 block of West Main Street and called police.

Vaughn was a 47-year-old white male whose residence was located at the 900 block of West Main Street, which is about a block away from where his body was found.

A Kent police dispatcher would not comment about whether or not there were any indications of foul play and said the cause of death is under investigation. There were no weapons present at the scene, the dispatcher said.
